Radiohead’s Kid A and OK Computer, composed entirely as old school video games



After releasing OK Computer, an album about technological malaise at the close of the 20th century, Radiohead released the spartan and sterile Kid A, an LP even more devoted to alienation.



And in a charming retro turn, composer Quinton Sung has transformed Kid A's dystopian soundscapes into the background music for an Atari game. I imagine Q*Bert listens to this when he's worried if he possesses the evolutionary faculties to navigate the modern media superstructure. Also, Thom Yorke and Pitfall Harry — separated at birth?
