Documentary: The Napalm Girl

In June 1972, an image of a naked nine-year-old girl running down a street in Vietnam sent shockwaves around the world. Phan Thi Kim Phuc, as photographed by Nick Ut, was fleeing the horrors of a napalm attack that destroyed her village and seared the skin from her body. Within days, the picture was in newspapers worldwide and came to symbolize the inhumanity of war. Filmed on location, award winning ABC news anchor David Ono tells the story of the famous photograph and how it came about.
