Japanese Toilet-Motorcycle is Powered by Human Waste

A motorcycle, by Japanese toilet manufacturer TOTO, runs on biogas derived from human waste.

Toilet Bike Neo is a three-wheeled bike with a modified TOTO toilet bowl attached to it that converts the rider’s waste into a biogas fuel. It also talks; plays music; and transmits messages using residual light to ‘write’ in the air as it drives by, with its LED light writer.

The bike would be touring for a month in Japan, from Kyushu to Tokyo—making stops along the way to educate people on green initiatives.

The company created the Toilet Bike Neo Project as part of the TOTO Green Challenge to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in bathrooms by 50% before 2017.

Could this bike carry on traveling if the rider keeps eating and drinking?
